SAAHEB JI TU(N) MORE MAN BHAAVE
BY SAYYED MUHAMMED SHAAH
saaheb jee tu(n) more man bhaave, avar more chi(n)t na aave
dujaa more man na bhaave, saaheb jee tu(n) more man bhaave........1
O Lord (Master - Imaam)! You are dear to my heart (mind),
nothing else cometh to my mind except You. My heart does not desire
anyone else, O Lord! You alone are my heart's desire.
je je maagu(n) te tu(n)hee deve, evaa evaa laadd laddaave.........2
Whatever I ask You, is granted by their favours.
This is the manner in which You caressth me.
ejee chaare chaare jug maa(n)he fari fari joyu(n)
tere tole koi na aave, saheeb ji tu..........................3
I have repeatedly passed through the four ages but none did
I meet who would stand in comparison to You.
ejee chaalo saahelee var jovaa jai-e, so peeyaa mene paayaa.......4
Come, O friends! let us go in quest for the Master (Husband),
He is indeed the Beloved whom I have found (attained).
ejee jees re vinaa ghaddee dohelee jaave,
so peeyaa mere ma(n)dir aave.................................5
The one without whom my time passes in misery,
is the Beloved who visits my heart.
ejee jees kaa re saaheb aysaa hove
so dukheeyaa keeyu(n) kar kahaave, .......................6
Those who have such a Lord, how could they be called miserable and unhappy?
ejee dosh dayaal jee ne kee-u(n) kar deeje
karam leekheeyaa sohee paave.................................7
Why should we blame our Merciful Lord for our misfortunes?
Only such things come to pass which our own actions bring forth.
(Whatsoever a man sows so shall he reap).
ejee raam rahemaan donu ek gusaa(n)heeyaa
murakh maram na paave........................................8
People worship Raam or Rahemaan. The names or foams differ
but in reality they are both from the same Light. The foolish do
not grasp the secret of all this.
ejee bolyaa sayyed mahammed shaah sharann tamaare
tuje chhoddee duje duvaare kahaa(n) jaave....................9
Sayyed Muhammadshah says: "(O Lord!) I surrender myself to You.
How can one forsake (your protection and care) and seek another abode?

SAHEBJI TUN MORE MAN BHAVE
Sayyed Muhammadshah
O my Lord dear art Thou to me.
None else doth come to my mind.
Anybody else is not dear to me. ...1
Refrain: O my Lord dear art Thou to me.
Demand what I, Thou grantst it.
Thus thou fondlest me. ...2
I wandered long through all the four 'Joogs'
(and realized that) there is none that equals Thee. ...3
Come my friends,
let us go in quest of the Fiance (The Lord).
O found have I that very Lord. (Lover) ...4
Without whom every moment passeth so unbearable,
that very Lord is coming to my house. ...5
Who so hath such a Lord,
how can he be called a miserable? ...6
How blame can we the Merciful?
One receiveth what is written in one's fate. ...7
Both Ram and Raheman are (one and) the same.
O saint! An imbecile comprehendeth not the secrets. ...8
Sayyed Muhammadshah said:
(O Shah) I am under Thy protection.
Foresaking Thee to which door can I go? ...9

SAHEBJI TUN MORE MAN BHAVE
Sayyed Muhammadshah
O Lord you are the one that I adore
none else occupies my mind
no one else do I adore
O Lord you are the one I adore ...1
I have gone through all the four yugs
none is like you (you have no parallel)
O Lord you are the one I adore ...2
Let us, O friends, go to look for a beloved
The loved one whom I have befriended
O Lord you are the one I adore ...3
He is the one without (didar) whom every moment
passes in agony
That Lord is coming home
O Lord you are the one I adore ...4
O ye whoever has a Lord like Him
how can he complain of being unhappy
O Lord you are the one I adore ...5
How can one blame the Merciful Lord
for whatever one suffers is out of one's destiny
O Lord you are the one I adore ...6
Ram and Raheman are one and the same
O gosahi (this is a respectful appelation for a Hindu used on a generic term)
it is the enthinking who does not perceive the meaning
O Lord you are the one I adore ...7
Says Sayyed Muhammadshah I am under your patronage
I do not want to leave for any other shelter
O Lord you are the one I adore ...8

SAHEBJI TU MORE MAN BHAVE
Sayyed Muhammadshah
O my Lord! You are the one I adore
None else comes into my mind except You
None else is dearer to me, O Lord
You are the one I adore ...1
Whatever I ask is granted by You
You do "spoil" me O Lord ...2
I've passed through the four ages searching
But no one can be compared with you ...3
Come, O friends! Let us go in quest
(spiritually) of the Lord,
The Lord whom I have met ...4
The Lord, whose absence even for a second
makes my life most miserable,
(With His blessing) visits my heart
(and adds to my happiness) ...5
Those who have found such a Lord
How can they call themselves unhappy? ...6
Do not blame the merciful Lord for your misfortunes
For we are rewarded according to our deeds ...7
Ram and Raheman are one and the same
It is the ignorant who does not understand this ...8
Sayyed Muhammadshah says: O Lord! I submit myself
For where can I get such loving protection
(except from You) ...9
