O dear one, set up the table and fill the area around. Joyfully set out the vessel. Bathe and send for four happy brides, and greet the Master of the Resurrection, dear brother.

JIREWALA PAT MANDAVINE CHOK PURAVO

Pir Sadardeen

My dear momins, Prepare for the coming of our Lord

by laying the table (Pat)

decorating the floor with different colours

joyfully filling the vessels with water

and calling upon the four satis to help

with the preparation. ...1

Today the day seems auspicious for my beloved Lord

Has blessed me by coming to my house. ...Refrain

My dear momins, Everything seems glorious

And everyone's speech seems sweet

For my house (body) seems holy today

As I have seen my Lord today ...2

JIRE VAALAA PAAT MANDAAVINE
Pir Sadardeen

O dear ones having commenced (the ceremony of ghat paat)

colour your compounds and establish the 'ghat paat' with pleasure. Call closer the four fortunate ladies (the four 'sati', Ansuya, Kunta, Dropadi, Taara Rani)

and welcome with respect our Lord the eternal one.

O dear ones,

How beautiful does our abode look

the appropriate Saint (Hazir Imam) has come

the Lord has graced our abode ...1

O beloved ones by looks He is handsome and a sweet

speaking one too.

Sanctified has become the threshhold of my abode.
