HOJEERE VIRAA HAAJAR GURNAR JAANNAJO - PEER SADARDEEN

hojeere veeraa haajar gurnar jaannjo, ane jyaa joee-e tyaa paas;

tem ghatt ghatt saamee raajo vasee rahyo,

jem ravee ugamyo aakaash......1

O dear ones, consider the Guide and the Master as present, and wherever we see He is there. The Majestic Lord dwells in every part of our being, as the sun shines over and enlightens the sky.

hojeere veeraa jem aakaashe suraj chhe,

ane chaud lokmaa(n) prakaash;

tem ghatt ghatt saamee raajo vasee rahyaa,

hu(n) jyaa(n) jou tyaa paas......2

O dear ones, just like the sun in the sky which is shining over the fourteen worlds; in the same manner the Lord resides in every part of our being, and wherever I see He is there.

hojeere veeraa satgur saache mane seereveeye,

ane saacho raakhone imaan;

gurnu(n) farmaan saachu(n) karee jaannajo,

tame vaa(n)chee juvone geenaan....3

O dear ones, worship(serve) the True Guide with true heart and keep true faith. Regard the command of the Guide as the truth and read and reflect upon the geenaan(contemplative wisdom and knowledge of the Guide).

hojeere veeraa gure geenaan sunnaaveeyaa,

tame veechaaree chaalo maaraa veer;

kaam krodhne paraharo, ane raakho reedeeyaa maa(n)he dheer........4

O dear ones, the Guide has communicated to you verbally the Divine knowledge and wisdom(gnaan), o my dear ones. Proceed by reflecting upon it. Shun lust and anger and keep patience in your hearts.

hojeere veeraa deel maa(n)he dekhore muneevaro,

sarave ghatt maa(n)he ekaj shaah;

keeddee ku(n)jar maa(n)he ek chhe, saamee raajo bheetar baar......5

O dear ones, see through(in) your hearts o belivers, that only one Lord is present in all interiors(hearts). In ants and elephants there is only the one, the Majestic Lord who is both within and without.

hojeere veeraa sacharaachar maa(n)he saamee raajo jaannajo,

(s)thaavar ja(n)gam seerajannhaar;

muneevar geenaan veechaareene chaaljo, tame raakhone ehee veechaar6

sthaaver - reserved kingdom, frozen, stopped ja(n)gam - movable

O dear ones, know that the Lord is present everywhere, he is the Creator of immovable and movable objects. Believers proceed through reflection upon the 'gnaans'(Divine knowledge and wisdom) and keep such thoughts only.

hojeere veeraa gur kahe gurnar ek chhe, ane gurnar ekahee jaann;

peer sadardeen boleeyaa, vaa(n)chee juvone ved puraann............7

O dear ones, the Guide says that the Guide and the Master are one, and know the Guide and the Master to be one entity. Peer Sadardeen has spoken, read and reflect upon the scriptures of the past.
