Hazar Imam received the Prestigious Hadrian Award from the World Monument Fund at the Plaza Hotel, in New York, U.S.A. 'To recognise the achievements of a man of deep learning and vision, His Highness the Aga Khan' - During the event, several speeches were made: Beside Hazar Imam's speech, there were several speeches: Rockefeller, Cyrus Vance, Rothchild and by Michel David-Weill the co-chairman of the World Monument Funds. 'Presenting His Highness the Aga Khan with the 1996 Hadrian Award, the World Monuments Fund honors a man who has devoted his life to preserving and improving our built environment.
