Prime Minister Stephen Harper expressed his condolences to the Aga Khan Tuesday for the recent terrorist attack on the Ismaili community in Pakistan.

Having spent 12 years working for a language development and cultural research organisation in East Africa (mainly Uganda and Tanzania) I had the opportunity to develop friendships with Ismaili Muslims.

The Aga Khan joined Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne for the opening of a new garden retreat in the heart of Toronto.

Azzurra’s baptism was held today in Valencia after the day’s races were over and the Princess Zahra Aga Khan did the christening. Ran is at the head of the provisional overall results while Azzurra is in fifth place.

CAIRO: The 14th century mosque of the Amir Aqsunqur, better known as the Blue Mosque, has been opened to the public Saturday after the completion of a six-year renovation project.

The mosque had been closed since 1992 due to damage it had suffered from an earthquake in the same year.

It's a boy! Kendra Spears and her husband Prince Rahim Aga Khan announced they have welcomed their first child together. The American fashion model, now known as Princess Salwa Aga Khan, gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday.

American model Kendra Spears, who has been known as Princess Salwa since her marriage to the Aga Khan's son Prince Rahim, has given birth to her first child.

The baby, a boy named Prince Irfan, was born in the Swiss city of Geneva last Saturday and both mother and child are doing well.
