Our 14th Holy Imam Mu'izz was born on the 11th of Ramadhan A.H. 319 in Mehdiyya in North Africa. His birth name was Abu Tamim Ma'ad. Imam Mu'izz ascended to the throne of Imamat on the new moon day of the month of Shawwal in A.H. 341 at the age 0f 23 and adopted the name Mu'izz le diniallah

Who am I? Qui suis-je? We all must pose that question. Answers will grow out of basic loyalties - to family, faith, community, language, which provide a healthy sense of security and worth. But if the call for pluralism seems to dilute those old loyalties, then that new call may not be effective.

I think societies get educated about pluralism. I think young children can be educated without even it being a process - to recognise and accept people of different backgrounds, of different faiths, etc. And I would hope that there could be a process in place drawn from Canadian experience
