The goal is clear: the aim is to create or strengthen civil society in developing countries. This single goal, when it is achieved, is in fact necessary and sufficient to ensure peaceful and stable development over the long term, even when governance is problematic

... civil society cannot emerge solely by starting businesses or solely by building hospitals, schools and universities or cultural facilities....they must be designed in such a way as to have measurable benefits for the local population, the general target being the very poor, and among them, rural communities.

Nursing, primarily a women's profession in Pakistan, empowers women and improves their status in their communities. It provides positive role models for other women, strengthens their decision-making and problem-solving capabilities in the eyes of others, and promotes their personal, professional, and financial autonomy.

I see today that there is a very large number of young boys and young girls here. To them I would simply say, 'do not waste your time. Once you have reached a certain age it will no longer be possible for you to return to your scholastic studies and remember that the tradition of your schools depends, to a large extent, on the work and approach which you have to your education.

Our 43rd Holy Imam Kassim Ali ascended to the Masnad of Imamat in A.H. 1106. The Imam maintained very good relations with Iranian government and often participated in various governmental affairs which resulted in peace and prosperity for the Ismailis living in Iran at the time. It is related in 'Gulzar-e-Shamsh' that Imam Kassim Ali was also known as Sayyid Jafferali Shah. He was born in Kahek and lived in Kerman district of Iran. Our Holy Imam also maintained very close relations with the ruling royal Safavi family. Imam Kassim Ali passed away (wafat) in A.H. 1143 and was buried in Mahellat.

Recent events oblige us to reflect on how environmental pollution and the resulting climate change are heavily affecting the ecosystem of our lives.
