INSTRUCTIONS: Adding an Article

Create:
Author: heritage
Making a reference card The first step is to make a reference card that will show up in the bibliography. This will only include info about the article, not the text. - Go To Create content -> Document - Enter Publication Type as Article, then fill in the Year, and Title - The Granularity field is important. If the entire text is available online, -full Text- - Under categories, enter the Type (probably General) And then the following: - Author: enter the first name altogether or with dashes so that the system knows where the last name starts. - If you think the article should show up in the history section, add -History- to the General Subjects. - For other fields, enter data as best you can. - For Source, if none available, enter -The Heritage Society Collection- Attaching an image to the reference card - The "Attached Images" area lets you select an existing image from your albums to attach to this reference card. It also lets you upload an image. If you upload an image here, it will not show up in albums. If you don't mind that, go ahead and upload your image here. - When you finish entering all relevant data in the reference card, click submit. Your entry will appear here: http://www.ismaili.net/heritage/doc Adding your article to the reading room If you wish people to read your article or follow a link to your article, you now make an article page for the reading room. - Go To Create content -> Article Page - In the Reference link field, start typing a few words from your title, and you will see your title appear in a dropdown. Select it. The article is now linked to its reference card. - In the article body, type some information about the article, you can link to the outside like: something like "Please use the following link to read the full article: http://utoronto/mydoc.pdf" - You can also copy the whole text of the article and paste it in the body section to make it easy to read and to make it search-able. - you can attach the full article pdf to this article page in the attachments area. - Once you click submit, your article will appear here: http://www.ismaili.net/heritage/article_view Adding images to your article page - You can now add images to the heritage albums, and link those images to this article page by filling the "Literature Link" field of your images. Your images will then appear in both the heritage albums and onthe margin of your article page. Notes If your article cannot fit onto one page or if you want book navigation for the different subheadings of your article, then you should create a "book page" rather than an "article page". Book pages just need to be told who their parent page is, and in this way, a whole book hierarchy is created.

Image removed. Mowlana Ali was born on the 13th of Rajab, 22 years before the Hijra (600AD) within the sacred walls of the Holy Ka'ba - a birthplace that is exclusive to him as no one else was born there ever since its erection by Prophet Abraham.
