Instructions: Audio Editor
Here are your instructions. The work can be done from anywhere.
You will be adding to the audio page.
Your work is to look at the list of unpublished audio and publish each item one by one.
Unpublished audio is here: (you have to log in to see this)
http://ismaili.net/heritage/audio-nodes-unpublished2
1. Listen to a little bit of the audio, and find out the title.
2. Click edit, and look at the section "literature_link:" If the audio is a ginan, qasida, or a common geet, you can start typing the title here, and if it appears in the dropdown, select the title. This will link your audio to its text. Most recent geets will not be listed here, so leave this field blank.
3. Scroll down to the "Audio Metadata" section, and enter and fix the information.
4. Scroll down and click "Publishing Options" and select Published checkbox.
5. Submit and start over on the next item.
If there is no play button and it says "click to play" Then skip it, and write down its file name. At the end, send me the whole list of file names and I will try to fix them in bulk.
Advice:
For Step #3, Most important field is "Genre" (ginan, geet, ginan with music, qasida, etc..), also fill in Artist and Title. Other fields can be filled, but they must be left blank if you do not know additional info.
For Step #3, you may find additional information in the section "Audio File Info" - the Current File line contains the file name, and this may be useful to find out the title or the album or the artist name, etc..
The final product will appear here:
http://ismaili.net/heritage/audio_nodes_search
Please start getting familiar with the audio section and the format of its conmtents, and then I can show you the work in person and answer your questions.
