World’s largest picture wall conserved by WCLA, AKTC
Posted May 7th, 2019 by librarian-hdLAHORE: The conservation of the western side of the world’s largest picture wall which is located at Lahore Fort has been completed by Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) in partnership Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC), Pakistan Today has learnt.
It is pertinent to mention here that the conservation work was started in January 2018 in which experts from different countries of the world worked.

Rs 70-lakh US grant for conservation of tombs in Hyderabad 2019-02-22

HYDERABAD: The US Ambassador to India Kenneth I Juster, who was in the city on Thursday, announced a grant of over Rs 70 lakh towards conservation of the 17th-century tombs of Taramati and Premamati, located within the Qutb Shahi tombs complex.
It is the second time that the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) grant, a US Department of State initiative, is being awarded to the Qutb Shahi tombs.

Tomb of Rahim Khan-i-Khanan to be restored
Posted February 6th, 2019 by librarian-hdNew Delhi: InterGlobe Foundation and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) Tuesday announced they would collaborate to conserve and restore Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khanan's tomb in the capital.
Popularly known as Rahim and immortalized through his dohas's or couplets, Rahim was amongst the most important ministers in Akbar's court. He was one of the Navratnas and continued to serve Salim after his accession to the throne as Emperor Jahangir.

Hakims’ tombs regain glory-restoration work on Hakims' tombs being done by Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) 2019-01-02
Posted January 2nd, 2019 by librarian-hdHyderabad: A search for Hakims’ tombs in Google will take you to a monument in Pakistan! However, the little less known fact is that there are two such tombs in the heart of Hyderabad, located within the seven tombs complex.
The restoration work on Hakims’ tombs being done by Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) is nearing completion and is expected to be thrown open for visitors soon, said Ganesh Reddy, Manager Operations for AKTC.

U.S. funds excavation of 16th century India tombs 2015-08-08
Posted August 10th, 2015 by librarian-hdHyderabad, India -- The old Qutb Shahi Tombs in India's southern Hyderabad city are getting a new life as they are being restored under a project sponsored by the United States.
The 400-year-old tombs have got grant of over USD100, 000 for the excavation work.
The United States, in collaboration with Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) - world's leading conservation body, are undertaking restoration and conservation project of the royal necropolis, said deputy chief of mission, U.S. embassy, Michael Pelletier.

Aga Khan Trust to conserve Qutub Shahi Tombs 2013-01-10
Posted December 27th, 2013 by librarian-ajAga Khan Trust to conserve Qutub Shahi Tombs Hyderabad: The Aga Khan Trust for Culture has come forward to take up the task of conserving and beautifying Qutub Shahi Tombs here.
The trust will spend Rs.90 crore over the next five years for the purpose.
A memorandum of understanding on this was signed Wednesday among Department of Archaeology and Museums, Quli Qutb Shah Urban Development Authority and Aga Khan Trust in the presence of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
