NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 5 – Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH, N), and the Aga Khan Health Services, East Africa have received a Sh720 million grant from the German Government to boost their COVID-19 response and support the public health system.

THE Aga Khan Health Services in the country, yesterday, launched a new polyclinic at Kibada area in Kigamboni District in Dar es Salaam region, in a move to improve provision of quality health care services to the community.

Coastweek-- Aga Khan University Hospital has opened a state of the art dental clinic which is located on the 3rd floor of the Park Place Building at the junction of second Parklands Avenue and Limuru Road overlooking City Park forest.

The facility consists of six dental consultation rooms, a large reception area furnished with a comfortable waiting area with Wi-Fi and a big screen TV that shows educational material on dental health. It is open from 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Aga Khan Development Network yesterday signed a protocol with the government to operate its organs in Bangladesh as Prince Karim Aga Khan IV arrived in Dhaka on a two-day tour.
The protocol was signed after a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office.

Expansion of Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam

The Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam has embarked on a major expansion programme to offer high-quality medical care and increase its capacity as a teaching institute within the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The scheme, with a preliminary budget of over $50 million, is the largest private health care project to be undertaken in Tanzania to date.
