charante charante sinhale vas paddayaa 1

Eji Raho raho sinhalaa tum mat naakho haath,
hun to vaachhadde keri chusanni ji 2

Khamo khamo sinhalaa tame dhaam kari beso,
vachan aaline gavari chaaliaa 3

Pahele hinchole gavari sim seddhe aavi,
bije hinchole gavari vaaddi-e 4

Trije hinchole gavari jaanpale aavi,
chothe hinchole gavari kodd maan 5

Uttho uttho vachhaddaa tum dudh meraa piyo,
men vaachaa ki baandhi aai 6
